Meet the Founders

Javonn and Aaliyah’s journey began with a shared purpose far beyond themselves. Married young and rooted in their faith, both felt a strong call from God to ministry early in life. Together, they served faithfully in youth ministry across various churches and organizations, leading young men and women to Christ and helping them grow in their relationship with God.

Over the years, their passion for the next generation only deepened. Aaliyah has empowered and discipled women through teaching and mentorship, while Javonn has mentored young men and created spaces for real spiritual growth and authentic connection.

In 2019, God planted the vision of GAP in their hearts a calling to stand in the gap for a generation drifting from the truth and the body of Christ. They carried the vision in prayer for several years, trusting God’s timing. Then in 2023, they clearly heard the Lord say, “Move.” In obedience, they launched GAP and stepped fully into what God had called them to do.

Aaliyah began leading virtual Bible classes, building a space for women and young believers to dig deep into Scripture. Meanwhile, Javonn launched Sunday Social—a virtual service created to reach and engage young people across the southern region with relevant teaching and real community.

Our mission is to connect this generation and generations to come back to the body of Christ through truth, service, and connectivity.

Through GAP, Javonn and Aaliyah are committed to building a movement that reflects the heart of God and lead people into a  lasting relationship with the Father.
